Terms and conditions for using the Catatku app
These Terms and Conditions constitute an agreement between the user and PT Tokokoding Ilmu Digital ("We"). These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the Catatku finance tracking application, along with all services, features, and products we provide (hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Platform", including the WhatsApp Assistant feature).
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before you start using Our Platform, as these terms apply to your entire use of the Catatku Platform.
By registering for or using Our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions as well as the applicable Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to change these terms from time to time and will notify you through app notifications or announcements on the Platform. If you provide invalid or incomplete data, or if we detect suspicious activity or abuse regarding your account, we reserve the right to suspend, limit, or terminate your account at any time without prior notice. This step is taken to maintain the security and integrity of our services.
1. User Account
To use certain features in the Catatku app such as restoring from backup, cross-device cloud synchronization, WhatsApp Assistant usage, and Books, you must create an account. You are fully responsible for the security and confidentiality of your account and the stored financial data. We are not responsible for any losses arising from the unauthorized use of your account. If you provide invalid or incomplete data, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account.
This service is intended for users aged 13 and over. Users under 18 must use the Platform with the knowledge of a parent or guardian.
You may request account deletion at any time via the Settings → Account Management → Delete Account menu. Upon request, your account will be immediately locked to prevent new access, and your data will be securely retained during a 30-calendar-day grace period. During this period, you can restore your account by logging in again or contacting our support. If the account is not restored within 30 days, the account and all associated financial data and information will be permanently deleted from our active servers.
2. Services and Fees
Catatku's basic features are free, including unlimited transaction logging, basic Savings and budgets, reports, bill tracking, reminders, the widget, and daily automatic backup with certain usage limits on Free accounts.
Premium includes custom categories, unlimited Accounts (the wallets you track money in), budgets, Savings, bills, debts and receivables, full transaction history, image or PDF attachments on transactions, restore from backup, backup and restore to a local file, unlimited export to PDF and Excel, and the biometric and PIN lock.
Pro includes everything in Premium plus unlimited Books and automatic synchronisation across up to 5 devices.
The WhatsApp Assistant is an add-on for Pro account users. It comes with a 14-day free trial and requires a paid plan thereafter. Use is capped at 250 transactions a day and 2 WhatsApp numbers per account.
You agree to pay the applicable fees before accessing paid features. We reserve the right to change prices or fees at any time, and any change will be communicated to users in advance through the app.
Catatku purchases are a one-time payment and do not auto-renew, ensuring you will never be billed without your knowledge. Refund requests submitted through the App Store or Google Play are strictly subject to the respective store's policies.
3. Prohibited Use
You are prohibited from using the Platform for any illegal purposes, including but not limited to recording fake transactions, manipulating financial data for fraudulent purposes, uploading images or PDF documents that violate the law, pornography, or third-party copyrights, distributing malware, data theft, or abusing the WhatsApp Assistant service by sending unreasonable bulk messages (spam). Any violation of these terms may result in the immediate closure of your account, blocking your number from our WhatsApp service, and the deletion of your financial data.
4. Intellectual Property Rights
All content within the Catatku application, including but not limited to interface design, app features, logos, icons, and other visual elements, is the exclusive property of PT Tokokoding Ilmu Digital or third parties who have licensed their materials to us. You are not permitted to use, copy, or distribute such content without our express written permission.
5. Financial Data Security
We are committed to maintaining the security of your financial data, prioritizing encryption, local storage, and daily automatic backup. However, you remain responsible for the security of your Android or iOS device, third-party accounts (including your personal WhatsApp account), your account password, and your overall use of our services. We are not responsible for losses arising from your failure to maintain the security of your device or account.
6. Limitation of Liability
We do not guarantee that the Catatku app and WhatsApp Assistant service will be available at all times or free from technical disruptions, including disruptions originating from third-party providers (such as the Meta/WhatsApp system). Your use of the Platform is entirely at your own risk. We are not liable for any losses or damages resulting from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of financial data, image or PDF document attachments, failure of automatic backup or restore, business disruption, loss of revenue, failure of message delivery through the WhatsApp Assistant, or device damage.
The automatic backup and data export features are provided to help minimize the risk of data loss, but are not an absolute guarantee against data loss.
7. Data Ownership
The financial data, image media, and PDF documents you input into the Catatku app remain entirely your property. We act solely as a service provider to store, process, and analyze that data in accordance with your instructions. You retain the right to export or delete your financial data at any time.
8. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any disputes arising from your use of the Platform will be exclusively settled in the Makassar District Court.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer rights that are mandatory under the law of the country where you live, including consumer guarantees and refund rights that cannot be excluded. Where there is a conflict, those mandatory rights prevail.
